Gobble, Gobble

First order of business - an apology for the lack of new posts lately.  Not that it's an excuse, but I have been very busy learning all sorts of new and exciting things!  The most important thing that I've learned thus far is just how much I don't know.  Yet :)

Second order of business - can somebody please tell me how it can be Thanksgiving already?

My eyes are on the forecast for Thursday...I'd really like to run the 5M Turkey Trot this year (I missed it last year) but I have to confess that I don't care to run it in the rain.  Yes, I'm getting wussy in my old age.  I admit it.  There is also the matter of that ornery alarm clock....particularly if DH and I head out Wednesday night for amateur hour (also known as the biggest bar night of the year).  So, plenty to deliberate...

Perhaps the most important item up for consideration this week is dessert.  Thanksgiving dessert.  My contribution to the celebration, to be precise.  I don't like to do anything half-assed, so if I'm making dessert then it's got to be GOOD.  Because I will most assuredly be eating it.  Gotta make it worth my while :)

Any suggestions?

  1. Hey Stacey - Come out and run the Turkey Trot. Maybe, because of the rain, it won't have 83,000 people in such a confined space this year and it'll actually be an enjoyable experience. Plus, they have nice shirts thus year.. got mine this morning.

  2. It is always packed :) We'll see...I'm still tossing the idea around in my noggin'.

  3. Hope you can come!

Oh, and while I don't have any overly extravagant ideas about dessert, cuban flan usually impresses 'em and is pretty easy..

What's on your mind?
